I am running for Capitola City Council because Capitola is more than where I’ve lived for over a decade. It’s where my heart is. It’s where I’ve raised my family. It’s where I plan to spend my future. I am deeply invested in Capitola’s well-being and understand the importance of giving back to this community that has given me so much.

In recent years, we’ve faced tough challenges. The pandemic severely impacted our tourism-reliant economy. Housing prices and inflation have soared, making it hard for long-time residents to afford living here. This economic strain has led to a reduced workforce across all sectors. The devastating storms of 2023 further damaged our landscape and economy. These issues are personal to me; they affect our neighbors, friends, and family.

Despite these challenges, I see a hopeful, resilient future ahead. My roles as a Planning Commissioner, Chair of the Capitola Wharf Enhancement Project, Founder of Random Acts of Capitola Kindness, and other volunteer efforts, have reinforced my belief in our community’s strength. I believe that together, we can overcome any challenge we face.

My goal is to preserve Capitola’s essence while guiding us to a better future. I want to ensure our town remains a safe, vibrant, and nurturing place for every family, safeguarding it for generations to come. This campaign is my heartfelt promise to serve, inspired by love for this place we are all so fortunate to call home.

We need you! Any and all types of support are helpful and appreciated.
